Every time I see "candy" written in a song title i think of Velvet Underground's 'Candy Says', that's completely irrelevant here.... or maybe not. Anyway, that ramble over, you can now check out Cleveland, OH band Emeralds. More often than not these days there's a trend for a lot of new bands out there to be as anonymous as possible, Cults with little to no info as they exploded from nowhere and Monarchy with no face to their images (still retaining the purveyors of this modern day anonymity method to The Golden Filter, a band that did it right). So when you look for info on Emeralds and find next to nothing you begin to get bored but when you figure the band have been around for the last few years with a bunch of releases including an appearance on Thurston Moore's Ecstatic Peace label, you don't mind so much. Why all this nonsensical writing? Well, we just don't have a great deal of information on Emeralds.... like we just said.
