We have all been there. After deciding that our current (work/study/friends/boyf/girlf/family/city - add/delete as appropriate) may not enlighten or satisfy us like they once did, we pack our bags to go and explore the unexplored and see whether the grass really is greener. And if the truth be known, I am sure we have all felt in one way or the other that those new found friends, the glorious sunshine and outlandish life experiences really did eclipse our normal life back home and that it really should be our reality. But if we go, will all that fun and excitement be waiting for us or was it was just a brief moment in time never to be found again? That final if is usually enough to ensure that people just sit tight with the comfortable lives they were trying to run from in the first place. However, there is one group of people that did buck the trend. Hannah Hopper and Christian Zucconi, Andrew Wessen and Ryan Rabin and Sean Gadd from NYC, LA and London respectfully, took a trip that would change their lives. After meeting on the Greek island of Crete during an art residency program, these 5 kids were clearly specialists in the art and science of alchemy and bonded immediately over their love of music. Bring on the end of the program and back on home soil, each one of them decided that the magic they created was too special to ignore, and NYC and London went to LA where they now live happily making great music together. Now, armed with a debut EP (buy physical or digital), identical tattoos and some hype, this is Grouplove. Their track Colours has hit Hype Machine, but we bring you Gold Coast. Grouplove - Gold Coast
