Australia and New Zealand can always feel like an untouchable resource to the outlying lands of Europe and the US. Its always been a place i find hard to get my head around, as in there must be so much good music that exists yet I've never felt like I've found an avenue in which to reap what there has to be offered. When it comes it comes great and non more so than the recent Tame Impala album, for example.

Existing in this realm is the label Hole In The Sky which ties us nicely into DFA signees Canyons holding down the disco-punk side of things in Australia. But as we dig a little deeper we find Tortoiseshell and their new single This Girl, produced by Canyons and contributing a Dub mix.

Tortoiseshell are currently working on more tracks with Canyons, after having these tracks on repeat we're eager to hear the fruits of their labour. We see these guys sitting nicely on someone like French Kiss.
